If your Principles of Accounting I & II courses in college aren't using this book, your professors should be shot. University of Maryland uses an inferior book. Prince George's Community College uses this one. This book is essential for understanding the poorly written and almost ubiquitously used Intermediate Accounting book by Kieso. It is also great for using as a refresher for people like me that are studying for the CPA Exam. This book has these clear pages that show how transactions progress and how the financial statements interact with each other. Another cool thing about this book is that the lightbulb on the cover actually glows in the dark! This book is also used for some Managerial Accounting classes. That means some school use this book for 3 classes, talk about more bang for your buck!

This book has pretty clear step by step instructions and easy to find and follow examples. It is very useful when trying to do the problems in the book. The big downside is that this book is full of typos, missing information, and incorrect math. Each week my class finds something else that the book has messed up on. If you are a teacher looking to possibly use this book, I wouldn't, at least for this edition.

I was disappointed in how the book was package in the delivery because the front cover of the book was damage and the book was ship with plain sheet of paper cover! I wish I could have paid a little more so that the book didnt get damage.
